Its Rail Connection With The Rfig Is Part Of The Global Project And Replaces The One Previously Existing At The Reina Sofía Dock Terminal. To Do This, It Is Necessary For Adif To Execute The Rail Access To The Port At A Point On Avenida De Los Astilleros, While The Port Authority Of The Bay Of Cádiz Must Execute The Interior Branch Of The Port Area To The New Terminal And The Operation Areas. On December 24, 2023, The Construction Of The Project “Rail Access Branches To The New Cadiz Container Terminal (1St Phase) Recovery, Transformation And Resilience Plan – Financed By The European Union – Nextgeneration Eu” (Ca-042-23) Was Awarded, A Contract That Was Terminated Due To Non-Compliance With The Main Obligation Of The Contractor On October 17, 2024.
