The Sbb Has Awarded A General Planning Mandate For The Sia Sub-Phases 32-53 For The New Construction Of The “Zimmerberg Base Tunnel 2” (Zbt2). The Tunnel Is Approximately 10.8 Km Long And Consists Of Two Single-Track Tubes. These Connect To The Zimmerberg Base Tunnel 1 And Extend To The Litti South Portal Near Baar. The Services For The Tunnel Safety Expert Mandate Are Provided In Accordance With The Bav Guidelines For Independent Test Centers For Railways Rl Up Eb Version 3.1 Of September 24, 2021. The Mandate Mainly Includes Quality Assurance In The Area Of ​​Fire Protection In Accordance With The Vkf Fire Protection Regulations. The Technical Specifications For Interoperability/Safety In Railway Tunnels (Tsi Srt) As Well As The Creation Of A Test Report In Accordance With The Bav Guidelines For Independent Railway Test Centers (Rl Up-Eb).
