Background:BuildPalestine supports Palestinian changemakers in building sustainable, impact-drivensolutions that respond to social, economic, and environmental challenges across Palestine.Through direct training, ecosystem support, and the cultivation of alternative andcommunity-driven funding pathways, BuildPalestine works to strengthen socialentrepreneurship in Palestine while reducing dependence on traditional aid models. By buildingand mobilizing a global community around Palestinian social entrepreneurship, BuildPalestineaims to support a generation of thriving changemakers capable of driving inclusive, sovereign,and sustainable development.The BuildPalestine Fellowship is the organizations flagship program and is designed as astage-based support journey for Palestinian social enterprises at different phases ofdevelopment. Through Root and Rise, the Fellowship provides technical support, mentorship,funding opportunities, and strategic connections tailored to the evolving needs of socialenterprises over time. Root, the Fellowships foundational-stage program, specifically supportsearly-stage ventures in strengthening their social business models, impact measurement anddesign practices, financial sustainability, and overall foundations for long-term impact andresilience.The Fellowship is delivered through six practical modules, each combining a group learningsession with one-to-one coaching. The coaching is a core part of the programs delivery, allowingfellows to translate each module into concrete work on their own enterprises. Through thesesessions, the consultant works directly with each enterprise to adapt the tools, address specificchallenges, and support the completion of practical deliverables that move the venture forward. 2. ObjectivesThe overall objective of this assignment is to provide tailored coaching support to six Palestiniansocial enterprises, enabling each enterprise to leave the process with a stronger, clearer, andmore actionable social business model.More specifically, the coaching will aim to:1. Strengthen the social business models of participating enterprises by supporting each team tocritically review its value proposition, target groups, impact logic, revenue model, cost structure,key activities, and delivery approach.2. Support each enterprise to develop or refine its Social Business Model Canvas as a practicalworking tool that reflects both its social impact goals and its financial sustainability needs.3. Help entrepreneurs better understand the link between impact and financial sustainability,including how their mission, beneficiaries, customers, pricing, revenue streams, and operationalmodel interact.4. Identify clear opportunities for growth and improvement for each enterprise, includingpotential partnerships, market opportunities, revenue diversification, and areas where themodel needs further testing or validation.5. Provide tailored recommendations and next steps for each enterprise, ensuring that all sixparticipating social enterprises leave the coaching process with a clearer direction forstrengthening their model beyond the session. 3. Scope of WorkThe consultant will design and deliver tailored online coaching on social business modeldevelopment for six Palestinian social enterprises, structured across three phases:pre-coaching, coaching delivery, and post-coaching reporting.3.1 Pre-Coaching PreparationThe consultant will: Review relevant Fellowship materials, including the module objectives, enterprise profiles, eachfellows Social Business Model Canvas draft, and any background information shared byBuildPalestine. Prepare a practical coaching approach aligned with the Social Business Model module andcustomized to the specific stage, needs, and challenges of each enterprise. Adapt relevant tools and templates, including the Social Business Model Canvas. Coordinate with BuildPalestine to understand the stage, needs, and challenges of eachenterprise. Agree on the expected session outputs, including the refined canvas and priority next steps foreach enterprise.3.2 Coaching DeliveryThe consultant will deliver twelve tailored one-to-one coaching sessions, two for each participatingenterprise.During the sessions, the consultant will: Use the Social Business Model Canvas as the core tool to assess, structure, and strengthen eachenterprises social business model, including its value proposition, targetbeneficiaries/customers, impact logic, revenue streams, cost structure, key activities, partners,and channels. Support each enterprise to define two strategic priorities in relation to the core social problem itis addressing and the areas where its model most needs strengthening. Develop a personalised 3-6 month action plan for each enterprise, based on the two agreedpriorities, outlining practical next steps for strategic direction, model validation, sustainability,growth, partnerships, or revenue development. Help enterprises assess the link between financial sustainability and social impact. Identify key gaps, assumptions, risks, and opportunities within each business model. Provide practical recommendations on growth, partnerships, revenue diversification, and modelvalidation. Ensure each enterprise leaves the coaching process with two clear outputs: a refined SocialBusiness Model Canvas and a priority-based 36 month action plan.3.3 Post-Coaching ReportingAfter the sessions, the consultant will: Prepare a brief individual summary for each enterprise, outlining key strengths, gaps,recommendations, and priority next steps. Identify common trends, challenges, and support needs across the cohort. Submit a concise final report to BuildPalestine, including an overview of the coaching process,progress made by the enterprises, individual recommendations, and suggested follow-upsupport.By the end of the assignment, each enterprise should have a clearer, stronger, and more actionablesocial business model that can guide its continued development beyond the coaching session.Main tool to be used: Social Business Model Canvas as the core framework. 4. Timeline and Delivery ScheduleThe assignment will be delivered over two coaching rounds:Round 1:Six individual coaching sessions for six different social enterprises between 19-23 July.Round 2:Six follow-up individual coaching sessions for six different social enterprises between 26-30 July.In total, the consultant will deliver 12 individual coaching sessions across the two rounds. Allcoaching sessions will be delivered online. 5. Qualifications and Requirements Over 5 years of relevant experience in social entrepreneurship, impact design, or projectdevelopment, preferably in Palestine. Direct experience in founding, managing, or running a business, enterprise, orrevenue-generating initiative is preferred. Demonstrated experience applying adult learning principles in training, coaching, mentoring, orfacilitation settings. Ability to deliver all coaching sessions in Arabic, with clear and accessible communication. Strong understanding of social impact models, sustainability, and impact measurement,demonstrated through previous work, tools, reports, training, or advisory assignments. Ability to translate complex concepts into practical and accessible tools, demonstrated throughprevious materials, templates, canvases, exercises, or coaching approaches. Experience working directly in the Palestinian market and social entrepreneurship ecosystem. Strong collaborative and reflective practice, demonstrated through previous work with teams,partners, cohorts, or program staff, including openness to feedback and adaptation duringdelivery.
