Construction Work – Bülach Expansion Of Free Loading - Construction Work. The Sbb Intends To Close Open-Air Loading Facilities In Zurich North (Including Niederglatt And Rümlang) And Centralize Them In Bülach. The Bülach Location Is Easily Accessible By Both Rail And Road And Already Has The Necessary Facilities To Accept Freight Trains. The Higher Traffic Volume Requires The Expansion Of The Facility And Its Separation From The P+R Facility. The Bülach Free Loading Facility Is Anchored In The Structure Plan And Is Of Great Importance For The Canton Of Zurich. A New Open Loading Facility Will Be Built With The Following Components: * Track 39: New Building With 100M Loading Edge, Along A New Bored Pile Wall To Schaffhauserstrasse For The Loading Of Acts Containers, Cement And Long Goods. * Track 38-8: Extension And Slight Horizontal Shift Including Two Switches, Conversion Of Track 38 From Siding To Loading Track With 117.90M Loading Edge For Loading Acts Containers (Acts=Roll-Off Container Transport System), Extension Of Track 8 To A Parking Length Of 167 M For Passenger Trains * New Loading Area, Including Lighting And Drainage As Well As Necessary Environmental Work.
