Architectural, Construction, Engineering And Inspection Services – New Extension To The Cafeteria And All-Day School - Structural Planning. In 2024, The Municipality Of Barsbüttel Decided To Expand Its Primary School, Kirsten Boie School, To Include An Open All-Day School (Ogs) Including A Cafeteria, Warm-Up Kitchen And Rooms For Afternoon Care. For This Purpose, A 1.5-Story Free-Standing New Building Was Planned In The Schoolyard. The Funding Application Submitted By Ib.Sh As Part Of The All-Day Expansion In Schleswig-Holstein Was Approved. In Order To Counteract The Acute Lack Of Space In The Schools Administrative Area (In Teachers Rooms, Workstations, Offices, Etc.), Following The Planning Of The Cafeteria And Ogs Expansion, The Schools Strong Desire Arose To Expand The New Building To Include These Currently Missing Areas. The Municipality Of Barsbüttel Followed This. In The Course Of Further Planning, Some Of The Schools Existing Buildings Were Found To Require So Much Renovation Work, Also Due To High Levels Of Pollutants, That They Were Classified As No Longer Needed And Other Suitable Locations Were Suggested For The New Cafeteria And Ogs Rooms. A Location Near The Street In The Current Building H10 Was Suitable For A Short Delivery Without Crossing The Schoolyard And Moving The Construction Site With Significantly Less Impact On Everyday School Life. There Are Currently Three Classrooms In The Existing Building H10, Which Are Available For Dual Use In The Morning And Afternoon Of The School. These Were Included In The Spatial Program Of The New Building As Replacement Space. The Planning Envisages That The 3 Functions, A – Mensa/Ogs ; B – Administration/School Personnel ; C – Divide Replacement Areas From Demolished Existing Buildings Over Two Floors Within A Building. The Building Is Designed As A Compact, Rectangular Structure. Due To The Material Used In The Other School Buildings And Due To Robustness Requirements, It Is Planned To Build A Clinker Brick Facade. The Materials Correspond To The Usual Barsbüttel School Building Standard. This Is Functional, Durable, Meets The General Requirements Of The State Of Schleswig-Holstein, But Also Economically Designed. The Facade Is Built On A Strict Grid, Which Creates Flexible Connection Options For Internal Partitions Behind It. This Allows For Flexibility For Any Changes Requested By The Full-Time Staff And The Cafeteria Design In The Future. The Building Does Not Have A Basement. The Foundation Is Carried Out Via Concrete Strip Foundations. The Cover And Sole Are Energetically Insulated In Accordance With The Requirements Of The Current Geg Law. The Flat Roof Is Covered With Green Roof And Photovoltaic Areas. The Lighting Is Via Led. Due To The Two-Story Structure, A Din-Compliant Elevator Is Planned In The Stairwell. The Planned Doors All Have The Required Clear Passage Dimensions For Wheelchair Users. Measures For Room Acoustics Should Enable Inclusive Usability Of The Cafeteria. For Other Disabilities Such As Blind And Visually Impaired People, Orientation Aids Are Provided Using Colors And Strong Contrasts
