Bids Are Invited For Supply And Delivery Of Two Trench Shield System in Canada

Request For Quotationsspecificationsthe Supplier, To The Satisfaction Of The City, Shall Furnish All Labour, Materials, Equipment, Transportation, And Incidentals Necessary To Supply And Deliver Two (2) Complete Lightweight Municipal Trench Shield Systems.The Trench Shield System Shall Be Suitable For Municipal Utility Construction, Watermain Repairs, Sanitary Sewer Maintenance, Storm Drainage Works, And Related Excavation Activities. The System Shall Be Designed For Handling, Installation, And Removal Using The Citys Existing Rubber-Tired Backhoe Fleet And Compact Excavation Equipment Without The Requirement For Larger Dedicated Lifting Equipment.The Trench Shield System Shall Be Manufactured From Lightweight Steel. Conventional Heavy-Duty Trench Shields Intended Primarily For Large Excavators And Deep Pipeline Construction Are Not Acceptable.The Supplied Trench Shield System Shall Be Engineered, Tested, And Certified For Trench Excavation Applications In Accordance With Applicable Occupational Health And Safety Requirements. The System Shall Be Capable Of Safe Operation In Trench Depths Of 3.7 Metres (12 Feet), When Installed And Utilized In Accordance With The Manufacturers Tabulated Data And Engineering Specifications.The Supplier Shall Provide Stamped Engineering Tabulated Data Demonstrating Compliance With The Specified Depth Requirements. Documentation Shall Clearly Identify Maximum Allowable Trench Depths, Soil Classifications, Surcharge Conditions, Equipment Restrictions, And Any Operational Limitations Applicable To The Supplied Trench Shield System.Addendaif The City Determines That An Amendment Is Required To This Rfq, The City Representative Will Issue A Written Addendum By Posting It On The Bc Bid Website At Www.Bcbid.Gov.Bc.Ca And The City Website At Www.Surrey.Ca (Collectively, The “Websites”), And Upon Posting, Any Addenda Will Form A Part Of This Rfq. It Is The Responsibility Of Contractors To Check The Websites For Addenda. The Only Way This Rfq May Be Added To, Or Amended In Any Way, Is By A Formal Written Addendum. No Other Communication, Whether Written Or Oral, From Any Person Will Affect Or Modify The Terms Of This Rfq Or May Be Relied Upon By Any Contractor.
