Island Health Is Seeking To Lease A Suitable Facility-Based Setting Of Approximately Eight Thousand, And Forty-Eight (8,048) Usable Square Feet In Nanaimo. The Facility Can Be Located On A Single Floor Or Multiple Contiguous Floors In The Same Building, Provided An Elevator And Full Barrier-Free Accessibility Is Provided.Island Health Will Be Using The Facility To Provide Supportive Medical Withdrawal Management To Clients.Landlords Are Being Asked To Submit A Proposal To Lease A Facility That Meets The Criteria Outlined Below Or Space That Does Not Meet The Exact Requirements; In Which Case, The Landlord Shall Note In The Proposal Where The Proposed Solution Is In Variation From The Requirements Outlined Herein.Island Health Is Proposing A Medical Withdrawal Facility In Nanaimo With A Location That Would Accommodate A Minimum Of 18 Beds, Assumed To Comprise 6 Double Occupancy Rooms And 6 Single Occupancy Rooms In The Space Requirements Included In Appendix A, Allowing For Service To A Greater Client Population.
