Tenders are invited for Business Trainer Closing Date: Thursday, 18. Jun 2026 Intervention Sector(s): Labor & Livelihoods Remuneration range: > 6000 (USD) Duration of Contract: The contract will be for a maximum of 6 months period. Background Secours Islamique France (SIF) is implementing a 12-month multi-sectoral project in South Lebanon (Saida and Jezzine) from January to December 2026. The project aims to strengthen the resilience, protection, and economic well-being of vulnerable Lebanese communities, Syrian refugees, and Palestinian refugees. Under the livelihoods component, SIF is supporting 33 entrepreneurs, 50 MSMEs and 50 farmers to stabilize, recover, and strengthen their businesses in response to ongoing economic and financial challenges. The intervention focuses on structured business development training, individualized mentoring, business recovery planning, and follow-up support to enhance productivity, sustainability, and resilience. Within this framework, SIF seeks to recruit a qualified Business Trainer to design and deliver practical, results-oriented Business Recovery and Resilience Training tailored to MSMEs and farmers in South Lebanon. 2. Objective of the Assignment The objective of this assignment is to support Entrepreneurs, MSMEs and farmers in recovering and strengthening their businesses through: Improved business management and financial planning skills Development of realistic and tailored Business Recovery Plans Structured mentoring and follow-up to enhance continuity, growth, and resilience The Business Trainer will contribute directly to improved business performance and productivity outcomes under the project. 3. Scope of Work The Business Trainer will be responsible for the following tasks: A. Training Design & Delivery Develop the curriculum Deliver structured business training sessions to 133 beneficiaries (33 entrepreneurs , 50 MSMEs and 50 farmers), organized in groups. Use participatory and action-learning methodologies adapted to different literacy levels. Ensure each participant develops a draft Business Recovery Plan during the training cycle. B. Business Recovery Planning Guide participants in conducting market assessments and SWOT analysis. Support the development of clear business objectives and implementation strategies. Assist beneficiaries in preparing a 12-month recovery and transformation budget C. Individual Mentoring & Field Support Provide tailored one-to-one mentoring sessions for each entrepreneur, MSME and farmer. Conduct four (4) follow-up field visits per beneficiary to monitor progress and provide technical advice. Identify challenges and propose corrective measures where needed. D. Monitoring, Documentation & Reporting Maintain updated tracking tools for training attendance and mentoring sessions. Prepare individual summary reports for each supported beneficiary. Contribute to project monitoring tools and progress reporting. Ensure compliance with SIF procedures and donor requirements. 4. Deliverables The Business Trainer is expected to deliver: Four (4) structured training sessions (4 hours each) per group. Approved training materials and curriculum. 100 completed Business Recovery Plans (including budgets). Four (4) follow-up mentoring sessions per beneficiary. Individual summary reports and consolidated progress reports. Monthly narrative and quantitative reporting aligned with SIF requirements. 5. Duration & Timeline Assignment period: July 2026 till end of December 2026. Services will be delivered in Saida and Jezzine. A detailed work plan with milestones will be agreed upon at contract signature. 6. Required Qualifications Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Economics, or related field (Masters preferred). Minimum of three (3) years of experience delivering business training to MSMEs. Proven experience in financial planning, budgeting, and business recovery support. Experience working with NGOs and vulnerable populations. Knowledge of the South Lebanon economic context is an asset. Strong facilitation and mentoring skills. 7. Reporting & Coordination The Business Trainer will report directly to the Livelihood Project Manager and coordinate closely with the Business Officer. Regular communication, proper documentation, and timely submission of reports are required throughout the assignment. 8. Payment Terms The Business Trainer will be contracted in accordance with SIF policies. Payment modality will be defined based on contract type and will be subject to satisfactory delivery of agreed deliverables.
