Tenders are invited for Occupational Therapy Consultants. Taawon (Welfare Association) is an independent non-profit organisation established in 1983. Taawon strives to make a distinguished contribution toward furthering the progress of the Palestinians, preserving their heritage and identity, supporting their living culture and building civil society in the different working areas it serves: the West Bank (including Jerusalem), the Gaza Strip, the 1948 Areas, and the Palestinian communities in Lebanon. Taawon works closely with local, grassroots organisations to address the specific needs of the Palestinian refugees living in difficult circumstances throughout the country. We support the implementation of a range of initiatives under three specific tracks: Investing in People, Building Resilient Communities and Securing Humanitarian Relief. We work in close partnership with more than 25 local partners and touch the lives of more than 100,000 Palestinian refugees annually. Background Since 2018, Taawon has been actively supporting and strengthening the capacities of kindergartens in Lebanon serving Palestinian communities. This includes delivering training workshops for teachers and providing technical support and practical tools aimed at promoting inclusive education. These efforts focus on enhancing teachers understanding of children with disabilities and learning difficulties and equipping them with the skills needed to create inclusive and supportive learning environments. Within this framework, Taawon collaborated with the Institut Libanais dÉducateurs (ILE) to develop the Manual for Kindergarten Teachers on Psychomotor Activities for KG2 Children. The manual aims to support educators in fostering psychomotor development in early childhood settings. Following its implementation and recognizing the importance of ensuring full inclusion of children with disabilities, a need has been identified to adapt and enhance the manual to align with inclusive education principles. Accordingly, under the project Improved Quality Services and Enhanced Inclusion Opportunities for Palestinian Children with Disabilities, Taawon seeks to recruit two qualified Occupational Therapy Consultants to adapt the manual to be fully inclusive and responsive to the diverse needs of all children. The consultants will be based in Beirut and will work in close collaboration with the Disability Advisor, Educational Advisor, and the original author of the manual to ensure a participatory and high-quality adaptation process. How to apply Submission Guidelines Interested candidates or teams are invited to submit their proposals no later than Thursday 18 June 2026. Applications may be submitted by: Individual consultants, or A consortium/team of consultants. Taawon reserves the right to recruit two separate consultants or contract a team/consortium, depending on the quality, complementarity, and relevance of the applications received. Proposals should be submitted in a sealed envelope containing two sealed envelopes, one for the Technical Proposal and one for the financial proposal. Envelopes should have the title Occupational Therapy Consultant Pages of both proposals should be numbered and stamped by the submitting organization. Proposals to be submitted to Taawon offices.
