It Produces The Future-Oriented Social Goods Of Education, Knowledge And Exchange Of Knowledge For The Location - But Also Nationally And Internationally - Under The Guiding Goal Of Sustainability. The Central Storage Infrastructure (Zsi) Of The Regional Data Center Of The University Of Hamburg Forms The Heart Of The Entire Data Center. It Provides The Reliable And Powerful Storage Basis On Which The Extensive Vm Infrastructure, Numerous Scientific Hardware Servers And The Central Backup Service Are Built. The Underlying San Connects Not Only The Two Primary Data Center Rooms, But Also The Disaster Recovery Site Via A Geo-Redundant Line System. Block Storage Systems Are Used In All Data Center Rooms, Which Can Also Be Mirrored Across Locations As Required, Thus Enabling Highly Available And Fail-Safe Operation. A Total Of Approximately 900 Fiber Channel Connections Ensure A Powerful, Flexible And Scalable Connection Of The Systems To The Central Storage Infrastructure. A Technical Standard Was Developed For The Rrz Data Center Based On Components From Brocade (Fibre Channel Switches) And Hitachi (Vsp Block Storage Systems). The Systems Are Operated With The Manufacturer-Specific Management And Monitoring Tools. Due To Deeply Integrated Operating Processes, Replication Mechanisms, Microcode Versions And Cluster Architectures, Expansions And Replacement Systems Can Only Take Place Within This Compatible System Landscape. The Requirements For A Framework Contract For The Procurement Of Zsi Components Described In This Service Description Serve To Replace And/Or Expand The Existing Infrastructure. The Present Award Procedure Is Therefore Not Intended To Completely Replace The Existing San Networks Or Storage Infrastructures Or To Change The Basic San Design. The Aim Of The Procedure Is To Regulate The Procurement Of Required Brocade And Hitachi Components As Well As The Commissioning Of Services, Services And Support Services Under Specified Conditions In Order To Optimize The Commissioning Process And Achieve Price And Planning Security.
