The project will carry out several awareness-raising and promotion of living together activities to prevent conflicts and strengthen the resilience of populations. Under PMACR-BF, youth (women and men) and women will be trained, and their initiatives and projects will benefit from technical and financial support. The short-term impact of the project is to prevent populations from falling into extreme vulnerability, and in the medium term, it will strengthen social cohesion and inclusive development of the country. The component will target vulnerable youth and women, including those directly impacted by insecurity, who will represent at least 50% of beneficiaries. Given the high unemployment and underemployment rate among Burkinabe youth and women, the implementation of this component should significantly contribute to strengthening the resilience and socio-economic integration of these individuals, thereby reducing the risk of their recruitment into armed groups as well as their exposure to violence. Component 2: Social cohesion, Stabilization, and Access to basic social infrastructure This component targets all community members in areas affected by insecurity.
