Maintenance Of Hedgerows In The Municipalities Of Brouckerque, Broxeele, Cappellebrouck, Drincham, Holque, Lederzeele, Looberghe, Merckeghem, Millam, Nieurlet, Pitgam, Saint Momelin, Saint Pierrebrouck, Watten And Wulverdinghe. The Services Are Exclusively Carried Out Using Mechanical Equipment (With Grinding Or Sawing Method) And Carried Out In Autumn/Winter Of Each Year (Period Running From September 15 To March 15 But Preferably During The Winter Months From December To February). This Operation Is Part Of An Environmental Program Defined By The Community Of Communes Of Hauts De Flandre In Partnership With The Departmental Council Of The North. This Program Of General Interest Reminds Us That Hedges Have Multiple Environmental Functions. They Participate In The Fight Against Soil Erosion And Flooding; Promote Water Protection And Quality; Constitute A Shelter And A Place Of Life For Fauna And Flora And Reinforce The Landscape Quality Of Rural Areas.... The Choice Of Equipment Used For The Execution Of The Services Is Left To The Choice Of The Holder. It Must Be Carried Out Depending On The Hedge And The Pruning Frequency: Pruning Must Respect The Integrity Of The Hedge And Not Cause Injuries To The Main Trunk Or Split Branches.
