Tenders are invited for supply and installation of a central traffic control center (PCRT) and three-colour traffic lights (SLT) in the cities of Cotonou, Abomey-Calavi, Porto-Novo and Seme-Podji Through Government Action Programs 1 and 2 (PAG 1 and 2), the Government of Benin has implemented several projects and programs that have significantly expanded the network of paved and drained roadways in most of the countrys major citiesparticularly within the Greater Nokoué metropolitan area, which encompasses Cotonou, Porto-Novo, Sèmè-Podji, Abomey-Calavi, and Ouidah. These initiatives include, among others: The Asphalt Paving Project (Projet Asphaltage), Phases A & B; The Cotonou Stormwater Drainage Program (PAPC); The Cities Climate Change Adaptation Program (PAVICC); The Avenue de la Marina Development Project in Cotonou; The *Route des Pêches* Development Project at Fidjrossè Beach (Cotonou); The Access Road and Surroundings Development Project for the Calavi International Hospital Center. All these projects and programs have contributed to transforming the living environment of the population while simultaneously facilitatingto a certain extenttheir daily commutes and their access to basic social services across the majority of the countrys major cities. Notwithstanding these significant resultswhich have been widely welcomed by the populationthe issue of urban mobility within the Greater Nokoué area (specifically in the cities of Cotonou, Abomey-Calavi, Porto-Novo, and Sèmè-Podji) remains a major concern for the Government. It is against this backdrop that the Government of Benin has sought financial support from the World Bank (IDA) and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) to implement a comprehensive Sustainable Urban Mobility Project for Greater Nokoué (PMUD-GN). To this end, total funding of US$400 million has been mobilized, comprising US$200 million provided by the World Bank¹ and US$200 million by the AIIB².
