The Municipality Of North Cowichan Is Seeking To Prepare A Streetscape Design Guide Specific To The Bell Mckinnon Local Area Plan (Bmlap) Area. The Bmlap, Adopted In 2018, Sets Out A Vision For The Area Which Is Designated As A Growth Centre And Is Anchored By The New Cowichan Regional Hospital (Currently Under Construction). The Bmlap Calls For A Focus On The Environment And A High-Quality Public Realm And Pedestrian Experience. Building On The Policy Direction From The Bmlap, The Streetscape Design Guide Will Provide Visual/Spatial Details Such As The Style, Materials, Elements, And Spacing.
