Date Added: April 20, 2026 Deadline: 08/06/2026 Category: Rehabilitation/Renovation The Lagos Water Corporation, in partnership with WaterAid under the TeamWater Project, invites interested and eligible contractors to participate in the bidding process for the rehabilitation of its waterwork located at Ojokoro in Ojokoro Local Council Development Area (LCDA) of Lagos State. Lagos is a coastal state in southwestern Nigeria, with a population of about 22 million people according to the 2022 estimate by the States Bureau of Statistic. It is the smallest state in terms of land area in Nigeria, but arguably the most economically important state of the country. It is a major financial centre and would be the fifth-largest economy in Africa if it were a country. Established in 1967 from the former Western Region and the Federal Capital Territory, Lagos State served as the federal capital of Nigeria until 1991. It is administratively divided into 20 local government areas and 37 Local Development Authorities, with its capital situated in Ikeja. WaterAid Nigeria in partnership with the TeamWater Project is poised to rehabilitate the Ojokoro waterworks and the supply pipeline networks. The project is targeted towards improving water supply to the residents of Ojokoro LCDA with the following objectives. * Improve universal access to sustainable, resilient and affordable WASH services for users. * Improve water quality. * Increase consumer confidence. * Reduce Non-Revenue Water and improve operational efficiencies * Strengthen governance and institutional arrangements to deliver improved WASH services. 2) Scope Of Work The objective of this bidding process is to select a competent and qualified contractor that can undertake the rehabilitation works at the waterwork, including but not limited to: * Rehabilitation of existing and drilling of new boreholes to meet minimum daily water demand. * Rehabilitations include civil, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation works. * Installation of Solar systems to power light facilities in the water works. * Supply and installation of bulk and household meters for a number of households. * Rehabilitation and extension of distribution network. * Installation of modern monitoring and control systems (SCADA) for automation of the waterworks and water network (to report leaks and monitor pressure in realtime). * Testing and commissioning of the rehabilitated waterworks 3) Mandatory Requirements Companies interested in the project are expected to submit their company profiles which must contain the following: a. Evidence of Registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC); b. Firms Current (3 years) Tax Clearance Certificate. c. Evidence of registration with Lagos State Public Procurement Agency. d. Firms audited financial accounts, indicating turnover of 2.5 billion and funding information over the past 3 years endorsed by a firm of chartered accountants. e. Evidence of financial capability, including bank/financial house credit facilities. f. Firms profile, organogram and resume of relevant key technical staff (Electro-Mechanical Engineer, Hydrogeologists, Water Quality Specialist), including individual attestation of availability: include copies of professional certificates. g. Verifiable evidence of similar projects previously undertaken, including letters of awards and Completion Certificates within the past five (5) years, which must indicate the financial value of these similar projects, which must be at least 150% of the value of the bidders current bid price. h. Description and list of relevant equipment owned by contractor; include proof of ownership or lease or license over the equipment. i. A robust HSE policy and procedure in place, with a proven track record of implementing HSE best practices on previous projects. 4) Pre-Bid Meeting There will not be pre-bid meetings, but it is mandatory for bidders to inspect the waterworks. Bidders can visit the waterworks from 4th May to 15th May from 9am to 4pm daily (Mondays to Fridays only) 5) Collection And Submission of Bid Documents And Company Profiles Interested bidders are to download the bid documents on the link https://shorturl.at/wEPtg Downloading of bid documents shall commence from 20th April 2026.
