Construction Work – New Construction Of The Horsthausen Foot And Cycle Path Bridge Over The Rhine-Herne Canal. Here, The City Of Herne Is Planning To Build A New Foot And Cycle Bridge Over The Rhine-Herne Canal (Rhk) In The Horsthausen District. Starting From The Canal Bank Path As An Extension Of The Hoverskamp In The South, The Route Of The New Traffic System Connects Almost Perpendicularly To This Path. The Straight Line Route Along The Water And Shipping Administration (Wsv) Depot Is Led Over The Rhk From The Southern Ramp With The Straight Steel Arch Bridge. On The Northern Bank, The Bridge Still Spans The Wsv Service Route And Ends At The North Abutment. Here The Route Bends In An Arc To The East And Is Also Integrated Into The Existing Path Structure With An Earthen Ramp. The Bridge Is Connected To The South By An Earthen Dam. To The North, Cuts Are Mainly Required In The Existing Embankment. The Bridge Is Planned As A Network Arch Bridge With An Airtight Welded Steel Box Girder. As A Special Feature, The Arch Is Arranged On One Side Next To The Hollow Girder And Is Inclined Outwards By Approx. 15° To The Bridge Axis. The Pre-Assembly Of The Superstructure Will Take Place On A Nearby Urban Area. From Here, The Superstructure Is To Be Floated Into Its Final Position Via The Rhine-Herne Canal. Smart Surface Heating Integrated Into The Rhd Surface Is Intended To Keep The Superstructure Free Of Snow And Ice In Winter. The Bridge Is Illuminated By Led Lighting Integrated Into The Railing, Which Illuminates The Bridge Deck. The Reinforced Concrete Staircase Is Intended To Create A Recreational Area On The Canal. The Basic Geometry Of The Staircase Is Approximately Quarter-Circle-Shaped And Is Formed By A Staircase And Seating Steps. The Straight Staircase Leads From The Northern Abutment To The Lower Wsv Service Route. The Centrally Positioned Railing Of The Stairs, Like The Railing On The Bridge, Is Designed With Lighting Integrated Into The Handrail. Both Abutments And The Staircase Are Deeply Founded Using Large Bored Piles. The Bridge, Stair And Path Areas Are Drained Via 20 Wells With A Diameter Of 120 Cm, Which Drain The Water Into Deeper Soil Layers. Length Of The Traffic System: 294.7 M Length Of The Bridge: 98.5 M Bridge Width Between The Handrails: 4.0 M Bridge Area: Approx. 394 M2 Height Above Canal: > 7.875 M Tonnage Of Steel: Approx. 280 T (S355) Superstructure: Single-Span And Straight Steel Hollow Girder (Tightly Welded) As A Network Arch Bridge With An Inclined Arch Arranged On One Side Of The Superstructure Abutment, Stair System Approx. 540 M3 Of Reinforced Concrete Of Strength Class C 30/37 And Foundation Components: Foundation: Deep Foundation With Approx. 460 M Of Bored Piles Diameter 1.20 M Bearings: 6 Pieces (4 Spherical Bearings, 2 Horizontal Brackets) Transition Structures: Approx. 13 M Drag Sheet Construction Sealing, Covering: Approx. 450 M2 Of Reaction Resin-Bonded Thin Covering With Integrated Electric H
