The City Of Grevenbroich Is Planning To Expand The Erich-Kästner-Schule Community Primary School At Hebbelstraße 1 In Grevenbroich In Order To Ensure The Legal Right To Full-Day Care From The 2026/2027 School Year. The Project Envisages A Combination Of New Construction Measures (Approx. 1,100 M² Gfa) And Renovation And Conversion Measures In The Existing Building (A Total Of Approx. 5,060 M² Gfa). The Measure Essentially Serves To Economically Create Classrooms In A Cluster Structure, Differentiation And Group Rooms, Storage Rooms, Multi-Purpose Rooms, Sanitary Rooms, A Cafeteria With 3-Shift Operation, A Full Kitchen And An Adjoining Dining Room, Cloakrooms And An Elevator. When Planning The Rooms, It Is Assumed That The Target Capacity Of The Entire All-Day School Is Up To 390 Children. There Are Currently Around 330 Students In 16 Classes, Which Corresponds To Around 3.5 To 4 Classes. Part Of The Spatial Program Is To Be Realized Through The Structural Conversion And Energy And Acoustic Renovation Of The Existing Buildings A And B (Built In The 1960S), While The Other Areas Will Be Supplemented By New Buildings. As Part Of This, The Existing Pavilion Will Also Be Dismantled. The Aim Is To Implement A Modern All-Day School As Part Of An Overall Concept That Optimizes Sustainability And Energy Efficiency. The Entire School Site Is Barrier-Free (Including Elevators And Ramps). Since The Construction Work Is Taking Place While Maintaining Ongoing School Operations, Detailed Construction Phase Planning, Taking Into Account Necessary Interim Measures, Is Absolutely Necessary. The Estimated Total Costs For The Expansion Include Cost Groups 200 To 700 According To Din 276 And Currently Amount To Approximately Eur 4,010,000 (Net).
