Expression of Interest for Consultancy Services for the Supervision of Kapichira Phase I Rehabilitation and Modernization Works The Republic of Malawi received financing from the African Development Bank toward the cost of the Rehabilitation of Kapichira I and Nkula-B Hydropower Plants, and intends to apply part of the agreed amount for this grant to payments under the contract for Consultancy Services for the Supervision of Kapichira Phase I Rehabilitation and Modernization Works (Owners Engineer) The services included under this project involves the Provision of Supervisory Services for the full rehabilitation and modernization of Kapichira Phase I Hydropower Plant. The assignment entails reviewing existing studies and project documents, assessing rehabilitation and modernization plans, and conducting field studies to understand the current plant conditions. It as well includes supporting procurement of the contractor, preparing an inception report, supervising works, and overseeing ESMP implementation, risk management, safety, and quality. The consultant shall also review and approve technical designs and schedules and submit regular progress and final project reports.
