Magnets – Procurement Of A Magnet System. The Magnet System Should Have A Room Temperature Area At The Magnet Center That Produces A Magnetic Field Along The Horizontal Axis With A Maximum Intensity Of 7 T. The Homogeneity Of The Central Magnetic Field Should Vary By Less Than 0.1% In A Spherical Space With A Diameter Of 10 Mm At All Field Strengths. The System And Its Power Supply Should Be Designed To Provide Fast Sweeping (Above 0.3 Tesla Per Second For Highest Field Strengths And Faster At Lower Fields). The Magnet Must Have A Room Temperature Accessible Sample Chamber With A Free Diameter Of Over 75 Mm. The Sample Chamber Must Be Able To Be Closed With Vacuum Flanges And Maintained At 10-9 Bar Under Evacuation Using A Turbo Pump. The Length Between Two Cf100 Flanges Should Be As Short As Possible And No More Than 350 Mm. The Magnet System And Its Remote Control Must Be Adapted To The Type Of Use In The User Facility. The Design Of The Magnet Must Ensure That The Guaranteed Magnetic Field Is Provided During Regular Operation Without Quenching. The System Must Provide Electrical Protection Against Accidental Quenching Due To Excessive Operating Temperature Or Exceeding The Critical Current. Additionally, The Magnet Should Be Fully Functional Within 5 Hours Of Being Turned On. After A Shutdown Event, The System Is Designed To Enable Secure Recovery In Less Than An Hour. Typical Recovery Times Are Determined By The Supplier; Guaranteed Recovery Times Are Clearly Stated.
