Wageningen Campus Will Expand By Realizing Area Development Campus Oost In The Born Oost Area. Within Campus East, A Total Of Approximately 80,000 M2 Gross Floor Area (Gfa) Of New Knowledge-Intensive Activity Is Planned. This Knowledge-Intensive Activity Will Be Realized By Selling Approximately 5 To 8 Plots To Investors Or Organizations That Will Establish Themselves Here, Within The Knowledge Ecosystem Of Wageningen Campus. The Wageningen Research Foundation Will Remain The Owner Of The Land Between The Plots, The Greenery And The Infrastructure In The Plan Area. Because Wur Itself Will Not Be A User Of The Energy System To Be Installed, Significant Long-Term Involvement Is Not Logical. However, Given Wurs Central Role In The Development Of East Campus, A Facilitating Role Is Important. By Outsourcing The Design, Financing, Construction, Management And Operation Of The Energy System To An Energy Service Company (Esco) Through A Concession, The Wageningen Campus Can Facilitate This Process.
