Construction Consultancy Services – Commissioning Management. The Max Planck Institute For Biological Cybernetics At The Max Planck Campus In Tübingen Is Receiving A Modern New Extension. This Includes Office And Communication Areas, A Foyer As A Meeting Place, Various Laboratory Areas, Seminar Zones And A Specialized High-Hygiene Laboratory. The Expansion Will Take Place In Two Parts Of The Building, Which Will Be Connected To Each Other And To The Existing Building. The Construction Site (Approx. 7,500 M²) Borders Paul-Ehrlich-Straße, Max-Planck-Ring And Existing Campus Buildings And Has A Height Difference Of Approximately 8 Meters. The Construction Site Currently Contains A Two-Story Parking Area, A Parking Lot, An Enclosure For Disposal Containers And Garages. The Clearing Of The Construction Site, Including The Demolition Of The Existing Facilities And Interim Solutions For The Supply And Disposal Of The New Building And The Neighboring Institutes, Is Part Of The Project And Should Take Place Before The Gwk Approval. The Usable Area (Nf 1-6) Is 5,107 M² For The Laboratory And Office Part (Component 1) And 1,926 M² For The High-Hygiene Laboratory (Component 2), A Total Of 7,033 M². The Expected Building Costs (Kg 300+400) Amount To Around €80 Million Net, The Total Construction Costs (Kg 200-700, Without Kg 611/612) Amount To Around €112 Million Net. The Institute Building Is Divided Into Two Basement Floors (Warehouse, Technology, Laboratories, Offices), A Ground Floor (Offices, Seminar Rooms, Laboratories) And Several Upper Floors With Additional Offices, Laboratories And Meeting Rooms. The High Hygiene Laboratory Includes Quarantine, Laboratory And Technical Areas As Well As Special Zones For Spf Experiments And Breeding. The Technical Building Equipment Is Designed For Modern Research Operations. Wastewater Disposal Takes Place Via Separate Systems For Dirty, Laboratory And Animal Wastewater. Rainwater Is Drained Off Via Green Roofs And Internal Pressure Drainage. The Drinking Water Supply Is Designed Separately For Each Building, With Decentralized Hot Water Preparation And Lines For Laboratory And Emergency Showers. The Heat Is Supplied Via A District Heating Connection (Combined Heat And Power Plant), Supplemented By Various Heating Systems Such As Concrete Core Temperature Control, Heating/Cooling Ceilings And Underfloor Heating. Ventilation Systems With Hepa Filters And Special Exhaust Air Are Available For The Laboratories And Animal Husbandry Areas. The Cooling Is Supplied Via Chillers And Special Cooling Devices For Servers And Laboratories. Compressed Air And Technical Gases Are Provided Centrally, With Co₂ Extraction Points And Gas Warning Systems. Building Automation Includes Numerous Data Points For System And Room Automation As Well As Central Management And Automation Stations. The Laboratory Technology Includes Central And Decentralized Gas Supply, Fume Hoods And Hazardous Substance Cabinets. The Electrical Installation Includes Medium And Low Voltage, Security And Fire Protection Technology As Well As Controls For Fire Protection And Escape Routes. The Dismantling And New Construction Will Take Place During Ongoing Institute Operations. The Neighboring Institutes Must Be During Construction
