Georgia Dot Is Seeking To Contract With A Design-Builder To Provide Services Necessary - For The Design And Construction Of A New Bridge Approximately 1,441-Foot-Long, 55-Foot-Wide Offset 40 Feet West Of The Existing Alignment Along Sr 25/Us 17/Sr 99/N. Walton Street At The Darien River. The Project Will Maintain Two-Lane, Two-Way Traffic During Construction By First Building A Portion Of The New Bridge, Shifting Traffic To It, Then Demolishing The Old Bridge And Completing The Remaining Span. The Corridor Covers Approximately 0.5 Mile And Includes A Shared-Use Path And Sidewalk (The Project). This Project Will Be Awarded To A Design-Builder Utilizing A Two-Phase Best Value Method.
