Tender For Resurfacing Of Internal Raods And Parking Area At Various Locations At Awantipur Garrison Under Ge 861 Ews; 1 Repair to potholes any depth, not exceeding 1 sqm each including sweeping free from dust and mud, or water, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, paths, etc. cutting around edges to at least 25 mm in depth, making good by filling in screened andgraded road metal, watering and well ramming (including supply of road metal) complete all as specified and as directed. 2 Preparing existing black topsurfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc. sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags or mechanical air compressor to remove all loose dirt etc. complete all as specified and as directed. 3 M&L applying evenly a priming/tack coat with bituminous primer at the rate 05 kg per 10Sqm using paving bitumen of grade VG-10 on existing black top surfaces complete all as specified anddirected. 4 M&Lproviding, laying, spreading premix bituminous macadam with crushed and graded stone aggregate mixed together with 4.5% of paving bitumen of grade VG-30 by weight of total mix including heating bitumen to the required temperature, mixing bituminous macadam in automatic and temperature controlled hot mixing plant, laying, spreading by means of mechanical paver and rolling and consolidating to the required gradient and camber (consolidated thickness 75mm or less) with 10 to 12 tonne power roller complete all as specified and as directed. Notes :-(a) Premixed Bituminuous Macadam shall be laid using self propelled hydrostatic paver finisher and preparation of mix shall be using hot mix plant and transporting the mix in tipper.(b) The exact bitumen content required shall be determined follwing the Mix Design procedure contained in the Asphalt Institute Manual MS-2 (Sixth Edition) as referred in case 3.5.3 of IRC 111:2009. The adjustment in rate due to variation in quantity of bitumen if any shall be priced at the rate of Rs. 60.00 Per KG of bitumen. 5 M&Lpreparing black top bituminous surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc., sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with air compressor through air jet to remove all loose dirt etc and applying evenly a tack coat of paving bitumen primer of grade VG-10 at the rate of 05 Kg per 10Sqm of road surface by sprayer operated hot pressure machanism, providing, laying, spreading 30mm thick (consolidated thickness) of premix Semi Dense Asphaltic Concrete (SDAC) with crushed and graded coarse aggregates as per design based on job mix formula with 5.5% bitumen binder content (bitumen of Grade VG-30) by weight of total mix including heating bitumen to the required temperature, mixing bituminous concrete in automatic and temperature controlled hot mixing plant, laying, spreading uniformly by means of mechanical paver and rolling and consolidating to the required gradient and camber with 10 to 12 tonne power roller and vibromax roller to a uniform smooth surface complete all as specified and as directed. Notes :- (a) Bituminous premix semi dense asphaltic concrete shall be prepared in central computerised hot mix plant. (b) Design mix shall be got done by the contractor at his own expenses from NABL laboratory as decided by GE. (c) Contractor shall quote his rates by considereing binder contents @ 5.5% of total mix by weight, however in case of any variation in weight of binder contents on lower side as per actual mix design, the same shall be ajusted @ Rs. 60.00 Per Kg of bitumen. 6 M&Lpreparing bituminous surfaces of road and marking 2.5mm thick centre lines, stop lines, dashes, arrows etc. and the like not exceeding 10cm wide on roads pavements with hot applied thermo plastic road marking paint of approved colour confirming to BS 3262-1989 with special applicator machine all as per manufacturers instructions complete all as specified and directed. 7 Supply and fixing cat eye solar reflective type of metal body alloy of size 100mm x 100mm x 20mm with PAMA striplens reflector of model No. DA 972.0 fixed with and including MS stud of suitable size as per manufacturers instructions complete all as specified and directed. 8 Demolition of cement concrete in ground floors and pavings not exceeding 15cm thickness (below or above ground level) complete all as specified and directed. 9 M&L100mm thick PCC (1:2:4) type B2 (using 40mm graded crushed stone aggregate) as in floor finished surfaceeven and smooth without using extra cement including spike rolling to surfaces or making impressions of expanded metal, whilst the concrete is green complete all as specified anddirected. 10 M&L Glass dividing width of strips 38mm, 3.00mm thick, inserted in position, conform to design complete all as specified and directed.
