For Surveying Fishing Grounds, The Directorate Of Fisheries Wishes To Hire A Fishing Vessel That Is Rigged And Suitable For Efficient And Appropriate Execution Of The Trip, Including Catch, Catch Measurements And Monitoring Of Activity On Fishing Grounds. The Vessel That Is Hired Will Carry Out Surveys Of Fishing Grounds For The Directorate Of Fisheries, And Will Be Administered And Managed By The Directorate Of Fisheries Maritime Service, Which Has Its Office In Tromsø. The Vessel Will Conduct Voyages In The Entire Fisheries Protection Zone Around Svalbard, Smutthullet And Norways Economic Zone. The Service Will Be Able To Take Place In The Entire Area And The Vessel Will Follow Ongoing Fishing Activity Where The Directorate Of Fisheries Wants To Be Present. The Vessel Must Have An Associated Cod Trawl License North Of 62°N. The Vessel Must Be Representative Of The Vessel Group In Terms Of Operating Pattern, Equipment, Catch Efficiency And Production Capacity, And Be Able To Operate Under The Same Conditions As Similar Vessels Operate. The Vessels Tasks Will Be To Carry Out Catching Operations In The Areas The Directorate Of Fisheries Representatives On Board Want. Priority Tasks Will Include Control Of Areas With High Fishing Pressure, Mixing Of Fish Below The Minimum Size And Sampling At The Request Of Collaborating Agencies Such As The Norwegian Institute Of Marine Research.
