Construction Project Management Services – Project Management. The John F. Kennedy Bridge (Bw No. 33/17) Is A Four-Lane Road Bridge With Sidewalks On Both Sides And Part Of The Middle Ring In Munich. It Is Located East Of The English Garden And Crosses The Isar In The North Of Munich And Its Flood Bed On Both Sides In The Districts Of Schwabing-Freimann And Bogenhausen. The Structure Was Built Between 1961 And 1963 And Consists Of Two Parallel Belts Of Prestressed Concrete Hollow Girders, Which Carry Two Traffic Lanes In Each Direction And Separate Walking And Cycling Lanes On The Outer Caps. The Spans Of The Three-Span Bridge Are 34.00 - 68.00 - 29.00 M, So The Total Span Is 131 M. The Total Width Between The Handrails Is 24.50 M. According To The Building Manual, The Bridge Was Last Modernized At The End Of The 1990S. As Part Of An Expert Opinion From 2020, It Was Determined That The John F. -Kennedy Bridge Has Prestressing Steel That Is Sensitive To Stress Corrosion Cracking In Both The Longitudinal And Transverse Directions. As Early As 2016, It Was Discovered That The Road Surface Was Damaged And It Was Therefore Suspected That The Sealing Was No Longer Functional Locally. As A Result Of The Underlying Seals, There Is A Risk That The Upper Reinforcement Layer(S), And Possibly Also The Prestressing Reinforcement, May Be Damaged By Chloride-Induced Corrosion Or, If The Underlying Sealing Continues, May Be Damaged Over Time. According To The Expert Opinion, It Should Be Noted That The Occurrence Of Tension Wire Breaks And The Associated Crack Formation In The Structure Cannot Be Completely Ruled Out. It Is Not Possible To Make An Exact Prediction About The Corrosion Progress Or The Rate Of Corrosion, Which Is Why No Reliable Statement Could Be Made About The Remaining Service Life Of The Structure At The Time The Report Was Prepared. Due To The Suspected Damage To The Tendons, The Insufficient Load-Bearing Capacity Reserves And The Planned Widening For Traffic Reasons, A Replacement Bridge Structure Is Planned. The Subject Of This Award Procedure Is The Project Management For The Areas Of Action A - E In Project Stages 1 To 5 According To Aho For The “Replacement John F. Kennedy Bridge” Project.
