A Kaba Exos 9300 System Is Currently Operated In The Clinic, Which Is Based On Legic Prime Transponder Technology, The Support And Technology Of Which Was Discontinued On January 1St, 2025, Only Provides Robust Readers To A Very Limited Extent, Causes High Complexity In Operation, Maintenance And Configuration And Requires Two Separate Databases (Kaba & Versocliq), Which Leads To High Maintenance Costs. The Majority Of Employees Already Use Versocliq Service Keys, Which Have A Transponder In The Battery Cover. The Aim Of The Measure Is To Introduce A Future-Proof, flexible And Maintenance-Friendly Access Control That Uses At Least Mifare Desfire Ev2 As A Secure Transponder Technology, Enables Smooth Migration Without Disrupting Clinic Operations, Makes The Existing Versocliq Keys Continue To Be Usable, Combines Both Systems (Versocliq & Access Control) Under A Common Software Basis And Provides Robust Hardware That Can Be Used In Psychiatry. In Order To Ensure Continued Operation When The System Is Changed, The New System Must Also Support The Old Legic Prime Readers At The Same Time. This Means That Over 4,000 Existing Transponders Can Continue To Be Used, While New Transponders Are Gradually Issued. The New Access Control Is Intended To Enable Integration With The Cliqwebmanager (Common Database), Which Means That Only Data Maintenance Is Required For Employees In The Key Issuing Department (Human Resources Department) And The Forensic Security Officers.
