preparation of surface are deemed to be included in the rates quoted. 101 M&L for preparing old decorated plastered or unplastered surfaces of ceiling by brooming down or steel wire brushing, scrapping down smoke soot, moulds, moss and efflorescent salts and trading oil and greasy spot and applying two coats of white wash complete all as specified and as directed. 102 M&L for preparation of old decorated surface of internal wall by removing existing treatment with mechanical sander (rpm 1500-2700)along with internal dust extraction system for clean environment certified by reputed paint manufacturers and applying two coats of acrylic distemper using roller over a layer of wall care putty to make the surface smooth all as specified and prescribed by manufacturer of paint and all as directed at site by Engr-in-Charge.Note:- (i) The old surface must be prepared in a manner so that there should not be any impression of dent and it should be made even and smooth all as per manufacture’s instruction before application of distemper.The cost of materials, labour & T&P required for preparation of surface are deemed to be included in the rates quoted.(ii). The work must be got executed through authorised applicator of manufacture after concluding an MoU with manufacture for company back guarantee by the contractor.The authorised applicator of manufacturer shall be got approved from GE before commencement of work. (iii). All the material to be incorporated in the work shall be brought by contractor to MES store yard which will be subsequently issued by department for incorporation in the work to ensure the quantity to be consumed all as per recommendation of manufacture.(iv). After carrying out preparation of surface the same shall be got approved from GEbefore application of distemper for each building.(v).The colour / shade will be all as approved by GE. 103 M&L for preparation of old decorated surface of exterior wall by removing existing treatment with mechanical sander (rpm 1500-2700)along with dust extraction system for clean environment certified by reputed paint manufacturers, then washing the surface with Bleaching powder solution for treatment of fungal growth and applying two coats of exterior anti fungal acrylic emulsion paint (wallmista of Berger paint or equitant in Asian paint, Nerolac etc having three years of performance warranty) over a coat of exterior water based primer of same make all as specified and prescribed by manufacture of paint and as directed at site by Engineer-in-Charge.Note:- (i) The old surface must be prepared in a manner so that there should not be any impression of dent and it should be made even all as per manufacture instruction before application of distemper.The cost of materials, labour & T&P required for preparation of surface are demand to be included in the rates quoted.(ii). The work shall be carried out as per specifications, drawing and as per directions of the Engr-in-Charge. 109 Removal of existing roof treatment i.e. APP Membrane, brick tiling including concrete padding and benching and open up RCC roof slab including picking, sweeping cleaning with wire brush and washing down with water to remove dust, dirt to get surface free of laitance, scales, oil or any other loose material without damaging existing serviceable structure complete to receive new roof treatment including rubbish off the premises upto a distance exc 250 mtr but n.exc 500 mtr complete all as specified and directed. 110 M&L forPCC (1:2:4) Type B-0 (using 12.5mm graded stone aggregate) padding mixed withliquid water proofing compound (as per manufacture direction and paid separately) over and incl one coat of cement slurry admixed with acrylic bonding compound SBR Latex liquid polymer as to be used for bonding of new concrete/mortar to old surface as per manufacturer direction and finishing the surface even and smooth (without usin extra cement) as in roof padding/Sunken floor, kerb/bencing alongwith parapet including rounded, chamfered on edges complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.(Note : Proportion of mix and method of mixing of approved concrete admixture should be applied as per manufacturers printed instructions) 111 M&L for rendering 10mm thick screed bedding in CM (1:3) mixed with acrylic bonding compound SBR Latex liquid polymer finished the surface even and smooth without using extra cement complete all as specified and directed .(Note : Prpportion of mix and method of mixing of approved liquid water proofer admixture should be applied as per manufacturers printed instructions) 112 M&L for water proofing treatment to non-accessibleroof slabwith APP based modified polymeric membrane as per manufacturer’s instructionswith following course of description below :-(a)Applying a priming coat of bituminious primer @ 0.30 Kg /Sqm, till the surface is properly impregnated.(b) Providing APP based 5 layer polymeric membrane minimum weighing 3.6Kg/ Sqm and minimum 3mm thick reinforced with polyester non-woven fabric (weight not less than 150 gms/sqm) centre core, laid on primed surface by forced applications as per the manufacturers instructions with side over lap of 75 mm and end overlap of 100 mm. All overlap joints shall be sealed thoroughly by thermo fusing both the membrane layer (torching overlap by propane or butane gas torch ) and sealing it with the help of hot trowel. The overlap joints shall be made as a monolithic layer(c) Apply two coat of bituminous aluminium paint @ 0.20 Kg/Sqm over APP membrance Note : (i) The work of water proofing treatment shall be got executed through authorised applicator of the manufacturer only and 10 year company back warranty to be submitted by contractor.
