The Object Of The Product Supply Contract Is The Supply And Commissioning Of Automatic Capacitor Batteries + Current Transformer And Any Other Activities Necessary For The Performance Of The Contract: Delivery, Reception, Warranty, And Technical Support (Service). The Purpose Of The Award Procedure Is The Conclusion By S. Uzina Mecanică Cugir S.A. Of A Contract For The Supply Of Automatic Capacitor Batteries + Current Transformers And Associated Services Regarding The Delivery, Installation, Commissioning And Technical Warranty (Cpv Code 31711154-0 Capacitor Batteries) According To The Investment Objective Named Capacitor Batteries With Pcb Content From Power Stations (Replacement). This Objective Is Included In The Investment Program For The Year 2025 At Chapter C Letter B), Item 3 With Financing From Own Sources From Amounts Allocated From The Budget For The States Participation In The Companys Share Capital In 2024, According To Annex 1B1 - Investments To Be Made. The Investment Objective Is Necessary Considering That Pcbs (Polychlorinated Biphenyls) And Pcts (Polychlorinated Triphenyls) Are Considered To Be Dangerous Products, Due To Their Persistence In The Environment, Their Bioaccumulation Capacity, The Fact That They Do Not Degrade The Environment And Cause Adverse Toxic Effects On Organisms Exposed To These Substances. In Order To Avoid Negative Effects On Human Health, Property And The Environment, Polychlorinated Biphenyls And Similar Compounds Are Subject To A Special Management And Control Regime Regulated At European Level By Directive 96/59/Ec On The Elimination Of Polychlorinated Biphenyls And Polychlorinated Triphenyls (Pcb/Pct). This Directive Was Transposed Into Romanian Legislation By Decision No. 173/2000 For The Regulation Of The Special Regime Regarding The Management And Control Of Polychlorinated Biphenyls And Other Similar Compounds Modified By H.G. No. 291/2005 And Decision No. 975/2007. The Main Objective Of The Legislation Regarding Materials And Equipment With Pcb Content Is To Control The Elimination Of Pcbs/Pcts, The Decontamination Or Elimination Of Equipment Containing Pcbs/Pcts, And/Or The Elimination Of Used Pcbs/Pcts, With A View To Their Complete Liquidation By The End Of 2025. After The Above And Considering The Modernization And Increase In The Production Capacity Of Nato-Type Ammunition, Caliber 5.56 Mm And 12.7 Mm, It Is Necessary To Replace The Old Capacitors Currently Existing On The Umc Platform With Automatic Capacitor Banks.
