Just five months into his administration and within the framework of the Municipal Works and Services Plan, Mayor José Lauritto announced - through a tender - the repaving of 40 streets in response to the demands that Uruguayans expressed during his campaign.
This Thursday, April 25, an offer was presented to carry out the repaving of a total of 40 blocks with a budget that amounts to 1,243,714,983.57 pesos, contributed entirely by the city municipality.
A single proposal was submitted to the tender, corresponding to the firm Lemiro Pablo Pietroboni SA. This company is from Concepción del Uruguay, so it will also provide work to Uruguayans in a work of great importance for the community.
The repaving of these 40 blocks, with the magnitude that it entails, requires an enormous financial effort on the part of the Municipality: it is intended for the community and from the community, and its purpose is to improve the quality of life and safety of those who travel daily.
