    Contract Award For Expansion Of Lbt - Vl09 Renovation Of Fst Footbridge

    Of The Expansion Work On The Lötschberg Base Tunnel (Lbt), The Importance Of The Existing 3 Km Long Window Tunnel (Fst) Bridge Is Increasing, As A Second Pipe Block For A 132 Kv Transmission Cable Will Subsequently Be Installed. In Its Current State, The Tunnel Only Meets The Minimum Requirements For Personal Safety With Additional Organizational Measures. Based On The Current Structural Conditions, The Tunnel Will Be Renovated For A Useful Life Of 30 Years As Part Of Preliminary Lot (Vl) 09. The Following Work Will Be Carried Out:
    - Vault Renovation Work Using Mortar Anchors & Application Of Shotcrete
    - Ensure Drainage By Installing Dimpled Foils & Half Shells
    - Lay Existing Radio Cable For Renovation Work; After Completion, Install A New Radio Cable And Dismantle The Existing One
    - Improve The Connection Of Four Karst Water Access Points
