    Contract Award For Kantonsstrasse No. 2, Oberbüren; Cycle Path Connection Oberbüren - Sonnental; Widening Of The Thur Bridge
    A New Cycle Path Connection Will Be Created Between Oberbüren And Sonnental. In Order To Implement The Newly Planned Cycling Infrastructure, The Thur Bridge Must Be Adapted And Widened From 11.54 M To 12.50 M. The New Road Axis Moves 2.25 M To The Underwater Side Compared To The Bridge Axis. The Structure, Built In 1964, Consists Of A Three-Span Continuous Girder With A Two-Cell Box Girder. The Main Span Over The Water Is 46 M And The Two Peripheral Fields In The Foreland Each Have A Span Of 27 M. This Results In A Bridge Length Of 100 M. Condition Studies Must Be Carried Out On The Structure And The Supporting Structure Must Be Statically Checked And Strengthened. The Coverings, The Sealing, The Drainage, The Bearings As Well As The Two Road Crossings And The Bracket Heads Including Railings Will Be Replaced.
