Contract Award For Bimodal Preclinical Imaging Scanner Including Positron Emission Tomography (PET) And Advanced Computed Tomography (CT). For In-Depth Studies On Small Research Animals And Associated Ex Vivo Material. CMU 2024

As Part Of The Purchase Of A Preclinical Bimodal PET/CT Imaging Scanner By The HUG-UNIGE PET Section Of The Biomedical Imaging Center (CIBM, Department Of Radiology And Medical Informatics, UNIGE), We Wish To Acquire A System Allowing The Imaging Of Mice, Rats And Rabbits, Individually And Multiplely, Such As The Simultaneous Imaging Of Four Mice And The Simultaneous Imaging Of Two Rats. The System Must Therefore Have An Aperture Of At Least 160 Mm, A Transaxial Field Of View Of At Least 120 Mm, And An Axial Field Of View Of At Least 400 Mm (Static Or Dynamic). The PET Subsystem Must Achieve A Volumetric Resolution Less Than 0.4 Mm3, A Sensitivity Of 9% And A Noise-Equivalent Count Rate At 60 Mbq Greater Than 800 Kcps In Mice And 300 Kcps In Rats. The CT Subsystem Must Achieve A Resolution Of Less Than 40 ?m While Offering Acquisition Protocols With A Dose Of Less Than 2 Mgy. This System Will Be Installed On The PIPPA/CIBM Small Animal Preclinical Imaging Faculty Platform Where It Must Be Perfectly Integrated Into The Material, Operational, Application Environment And Ethical Considerations With Regard To Animal Welfare.
