    Contract Award For Low Temperature Scanning Probe Microscope (ULT-B-STM)

    The UZH Physics Institute Plans To Purchase A Low-Temperature Scanning Probe Microscope (ULT-B-STM) To Research Low-Dimensional Quantum Matter Under Extreme Conditions.
    The ULT-B-STM Should Reach A Temperature Of Less Than 500 Mk And Be Able To Maintain It For At Least 24 Hours. The ULT-B-STM Can Generate A Magnetic Field Of At Least 8T (0/0/8T+) T Perpendicular To The Sample Plane. Alternatively, A Variant Of The ULT-B-STM May Be Offered With A Reduced Vector Field (X/Y/5T+) Along Two Or More Independent Axes. The Preference For The Latter Option Is Subject To Available Funds (Budget) Or The Price Offered.
    In Addition, The ULT-B-STM Should Have At Least 3 Samples And 2 Tip Contacts And At Least 1 Radio Frequency (HF) Line For Sample Holder Or Tip Holder.
    Existing Equipment (List Attached) Should Be Taken Into Account In The Offer As Much As Possible To Improve Sustainability.
