Contract Award For A Pulsed Femtosecond Laser For Three-Photon Imaging And Two-Photon Optogenetics Epfl Intends To Acquire A Pulsed Femtosecond Laser Useful For Three-Photon Imaging And Two-Photon Optogenetics In The Mouse Brain For Its Sensory Processing Laboratory (Lsens) Of The Faculty Of Life Sciences (Sv). . The Equipment Will Be Dedicated To The Latest Research In Neuroscience. In View Of The Needs Of The Epfl And The Specific Scientific Objectives Of The Lsens, The Focus Will Be On The Following Research Areas: The Pulsed Infrared Laser Will Be Used For Two Main Objectives: • Three-Photon Excitation (Wavelength ~1300 Nm) Of Genetically Encoded Fluorophores Such As Gfp And Functional Sensors Such As Gcamp Expressed In The Mouse Brain. • Two-Photon Excitation (Wavelength ~1040 Nm) Of Optogenetic Actuators, Such As. B. Chrome Expressed In Mouse Brain. |
