According To The Funeral Services Act (6.6.2003/457), The Municipality Takes Care Of The Funeral Arrangements When There Are No Relatives Or Other Relatives As Defined By The Law To Take Care Of The Task. According To Section 23 Subsection 2 Of The Funeral Services Act, The Funeral Arrangements Are Handled By The Municipality Where, At The Time Of Death, The Deceased Had A Home Municipality As Referred To In The Home Municipality Act Or, If The Deceased Did Not Have A Home Municipality, The Municipality Where He Lived At The Time Of His Death. This Tender Is Used To Purchase Funeral Services For The Burial Of The Deceased In Vaasa. The Service Includes The Burial And Transport Of The Deceased From Vaasa. In The Areas From Monday To Saturday, As Well As At The Family Service Funeral Home For Arranging The Burial And The Necessary Cooperation With The Parish Association Or Other Similar Entity Regarding The Burial. If Necessary, The City Orders Porter And Assistant Services From The Service Provider. The Service Starts With Handing Over The Deceased From The Deceaseds Storage Place To The Service Provider And Ends With The Burial. The Burials Are Mostly Cremations And Only For Justified Reasons Coffin Burials. When Choosing A Burial Method, The Deceaseds Religious Beliefs And Religious Burial Customs Are Taken Into Account. The Products Must Be Grounded. The Coffin Must Be Either Light Or Wood-Colored, And Either Cloth Or Wood-Upholstered. The Urn Must Be Either Light Or Wood-Colored, And Either Have A Fabric Or Sheet Surface. The Coffins To Be Cremated Must Comply With The Crematoriums Requirements.
