The Social, Health And Rescue Department Of The City Of Helsinki Requests Offers For Funeral Services In Accordance With This Call For Tenders And Its Appendices. The Object Of The Procurement Is Funeral Services, Mainly For The Burial Of The Deceased From Helsinki Who Are Entitled To Income Support. The Service Starts With Handing Over The Deceased From The Deceaseds Storage Place To The Service Provider And Ends With The Burial. Burials Are Ash Burials And Coffin Burials Only For Justified Reasons. When Choosing A Burial Method, The Deceaseds Culture, Religious Beliefs And Religious Burial Customs Are Taken Into Account. The Service Includes The Funeral Service Arrangements Specified In More Detail In The Service Description (Appendix 3), Personal Service At The Funeral Service Office, Cooperation With The Body Responsible For The Burial, Preparation And Dressing Of The Deceased, A Small Bouquet Of Flowers For The Coffin Or Urn, And Transportation Of The Deceased In The Capital Region According To The Service Description. The Service Provider Is Also Responsible For Ordering, Picking Up And Availability Of The Deceaseds Clothing, Coffin And Urn, As Well As Temporary Storage Of The Coffins. Carriers And Helper Service Can Be Used In The Situations Defined In The Service Description. The Service To Be Procured Is A Service Intended For Helsinki Residents, Which Is Why The Service Provider Must Have At Least One Service Point In The Helsinki City Area. According To The Subscriber, Subsistence Support Has Been Granted For Burial As Follows: In 2024, Approximately 450 Payment Commitments Were Granted And In 2025, Approximately 460. According To The Customers Estimate, The Number Of Payment Commitments Has Stabilized At Less Than 500 Burials Per Year. The Subscriber Does Not Commit To Certain Purchase Quantities, But The Service Is Ordered As Needed. Based On The Tender, One (1) Service Provider Will Be Selected.
