The main objective of this proposal is to improve understanding of how capacity-building programs that aim to promote MSME internationalization can contribute to inclusive growth, lead to better working conditions, and help encourage informal businesses in the APEC region to transition into the formal economy.
Conduct a half–day policy dialogue as part of CTI2/2024 meeting to discuss and share experiences and information on best practices in implementing capacity-building or other support programs to help MSMEs benefit from international trade, how these programs can help them to improve their export capacities and encourage informal businesses to transition to the formal economy.
Experiences and best practices can come from government programs, international organizations, and private sector initiatives.
Based on the policy dialogue, a report will be prepared with a summary of best practices, conclusions, and recommendations resulting from the discussions. |
