Project Detail |
The report concerns the technical safety and safety requirements
of hydrogen that is industrially processed and stored as well as transported and stored as a dangerous chemical.
Objectives and outputs
The aim of the report is to map the situation of chemical safety legislation regarding the safety of hydrogen handling. With the help of the survey, potential obstacles and shortcomings in the technical safety regulation for new technologies that promote a low-carbon economy would be identified and thus promote their introduction to the market.
The report supports the goal of the green transition to make Finland a world leader in hydrogen and circular economy, emission-free energy systems and other climate and environmental solutions.
The report would focus on mapping the technical safety of new solutions for the hydrogen economy, as well as the development needs of national legislation on the technical safety of hydrogen, as well as the preparation of EU legislation to support the formation of a national position. The report would deal with the technical safety of hydrogen production, use, and other processing, transfer in pipelines, and storage and preservation. The survey should also take into account hydrogen-containing products available to consumers
