Project Description
A senior unsecured loan of up to EUR 35.0 million to Mersin Water and Sewage Administration ("MESKI" or the "Client") to finance the rehabilitation, expansion and construction of 6 (six) wastewater treatment plants ("WWTPs") and deep-sea discharge pipelines for 3 existing WWTPs (the "Project"). With this investment, the capacity of the WWTPs will be increased from c. 280,000 m3/d, to c. 400,000 m3/d.
Project Objectives
The Project will support the wastewater treatment capacity of the city of Mersin that is strained due to the sudden population increase caused by the migration received from the areas heavily impacted by the devastating earthquakes which hit 11 provinces in South-Eastern Turkiye on February 6 2023. |
