Strengthen and expand institutional capacities to facilitate cross-border electronic transactions in Latin America and the Caribbean. To this end, the implementation of the cross-border electronic signature will be strengthened and other enabling conditions for cross-border digital transactions. After the results achieved in the first phase of the project, including the adoption achieved in the MERCOSUR countries (Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay), it seeks to strengthen reliable and secure electronic transactions as a boost to economic and social integration with equity, and expand it to countries within the scope of the Pacific, Central America, and Caribbean. The specific objectives are: (i) to deepen and expand the technical frameworks for digital signature validation to more countries cross-border; (ii) deepen and expand exchange models to more countries information insurance for cross-border digital services; (iii) develop cross-border digital authentication pilot experiences; and (iv) multiply the knowledge acquired towards ministers, legislators and chancelleries. |
