Project Name Power Transmission Strengthening Project

Aligned with the Indicative Generation Capacity Expansion Plan 2021-2031 and the National Electricity Policy, 2021, the project will expand the national grid and enhance grid stability to improve energy access in the country, where only 80% of the population has access to electricity, with rural areas facing greater challenges. The project will also support womens participation in nontraditional fields, such as the energy sector. An improved and reliable climate-resilient electricity supply will further boost economic opportunities for the projects communities, particularly for women.
