The Diversified and Sustainable Livestock Production project is part of the new paradigm of international cooperation, which represents the 2030 Development Agenda with the objectives of sustainable development. The project seeks to promote the development of the private sector and in particular small and medium organized producers of the non-traditional value chain of the non-traditional livestock sector. Its lines of action are aimed at strengthening institutional capacities of the public sector, providing the private sector with national sector policies, legislation and services favorable to its development, strengthening the sanitary framework for non-traditional livestock sectors, strengthening and expanding the link of the national quality infrastructure. and health.
General objective:
Provide technical assistance to small and medium-sized organized producers in the non-traditional value chain of the livestock sector, to strengthen the regulatory and institutional health framework for sustainable livestock production and its diversification.
Specific objectives:
Develop together with SENACSA-Paraguay the System of Regional Offices - SIGOR, for sustainable pig production
Develop a National Coverage Sanitary Plan for small livestock species, with emphasis on sheep and goats, ensuring biosafety standards, good practices, and safety in breeding, processing, and livestock marketing.
Provide specialized technical assistance to SENACSA ??and the VMG to strengthen the regulatory, administrative, sanitary and service framework for the livestock value chains of minor species (goats, sheep, pigs, poultry, fish, beekeeping and milk). |
