Outcome and some outputs are satisfactory. Implementation of most activities has commenced which will likely achieve the DO.
Implementation of various activities, including procurement, are being carried out and good progress has been recorded. Consequently, outputs are likely to be achieved, although the progress is very slow especially on civil works. For civil works, the Mission has recommended that the EA should only tender out the structures, whose Engineer’s cost estimates fall within the available budget. Delays in tendering the said civil works will result in reallocation of the funds to other sub-components during the upcoming mid-term review.
Project implementation was negatively by the delay in signing the loan agreement by the Government. Preparatory activities, including physical implementation, have started and are on track, though the progress is slow.
