African swine fever (ASF) is a highly contagious hemorrhagic disease in pigs that generates high levels of mortality, leading to significant economic losses for its producers. In the Dominican Republic, this situation has spread severely, thus affecting pig farmers, specifically in their economies and productions; Consequently, IICA provides support through a process of verification and payment of the compensation program that can assist the Dominican government in the eradication of ASF in its territory and the strengthening of its affected producers.
General objective:
Implement the process of verification and payment of the compensation program, to be administered by IICA, to support the government of the Dominican Republic in the eradication of African Swine Fever from its territory. |
