Get in touch about this project GENERAL INQUIRY usinfo@cardno.com The Robinson Preserve was being expanded to the south, an area in need of invasive species removal and native plant installation. Cardno was awarded one of the restoration expansion areas named the Freshwater Marsh. Certified applicators initially treated the invasive species with aquatic approved herbicide, mowing, and hand removal. Native plants and trees were installed from the water’s edge to the top of the marsh bank and then maintained monthly for a year. The water line was planted with 4,744 emergent plants, and the slope had 16,530 native grasses and forbs installed. Cardno planted 179 native trees spread throughout the site. Cardno was also awarded the installation services for 10,000 bunchgrasses, which will help reduce erosion in problem areas surrounding the freshwater marsh. The Robinson Preserve Expansion is open to the public, please come out and hike the trails to see our beautiful native plants in person!
