Project Name Hoquiam River - Riverside Bridge - Bridge Painting Approach Spans
Project Detail The 465-foot-long, US 101 Hoquiam River Riverside Bridge is in need of a new protective surface. During the summer months of 2021, contractor crews will repaint the bridges approach spans to preserve the crossing for years to come. To do this important work, crews will construct a containment system around the bridge to help protect the environment. General work activities include: cleaning, stripping exterior paint and rust, and repainting the surface of the bridge. Bridge painting, rehabilitation, and routine maintenance is more cost effective than replacement. Any highway closures will be announced in advance.
