| Project Name | FOOD SECURITY VS. POPPY CULTIVATION |
| Project Detail | Welthungerhilfe has already achieved a great deal in Nangarhar in eastern Afghanistan. B. convince more than 800 poppy farmers to switch to rose oil production. Despite constant conflicts, the region has the potential to deliver products for the national market. This project trains farming families in commercial, but sustainable, vegetable growing and the creation of fish ponds. Women cultivate kitchen gardens, raise chickens and process food. Demonstration areas and radio campaigns also provide information on topics such as soil protection measures and pest control. |
