Project Development Objective
PDO Statement
23. The Project Development Objective (PDO) is to provide temporary income opportunities to selected poor and
vulnerable households and to strengthen safety net delivery tools in the Republic of South Sudan.
PDO Level Indicators
24. The SSSNP is expected to:
a) Increase access to income opportunities to selected poor and vulnerable households
• Beneficiaries of social safety net programs, of which female (core indicator/Number)
b) Strengthen safety net delivery tools
• Percentage of beneficiary payroll generated by the MIS
• Percentage of payments from the MIS made using biometric authentication
• Percentage of complaints resolved through the GRM
Project Components
25. The proposed SSSNP is a US$ 40 million equivalent IDA Grant with three components, to be implemented over
2.5 years. The components are (a) Labor Intensive Public Works “Plus”, (b) Direct Income Support, and (c) Strengthening
Safety Net Delivery Tools and Project Management. |
