Scope of Work: EPC
The energy multinational IC Power presented the renewable energy project "Parque Eólico Agua Clara", which will have an investment of more than US $ 100 million and a generation of 50 megawatts (MW) of clean energy in the first phase.
However, and according to the needs of the Dominican State, the project has the potential to install up to 200 MW at the end of the four phases of its construction.
The wind project, which will be built in the province of Monte Cristi, plans to start the execution of the project after completing the permitting processes carried out in coordination with the Dominican Corporation of State Electric Companies (CDEEE).
The electrical infrastructure, which is in the planning phase and ready for execution, will be developed in accordance with the corresponding norms ordered by the National Energy Council (CNE) and the Superintendency of Electricity (SIE) and has the financing of recognized national banks. .
Marcos Cochón, general manager of the operation, listed the benefits of this initiative, which starts with an investment of more than US $ 100 million and fosters the socioeconomic development of the country through the generation of employment, the quality of life of the inhabitants and the care of the environment.
Cochón also expressed that "Agua Clara is in line with the governments agenda that seeks to promote investments in renewable energy projects, as highlighted by President Danilo Medina during his presentation of accounts on February 27" .
The announcement was made during the launch of the support plan for renewable energy projects (CDEEE Renovable), organized by the government entity together with companies in the sector.
