Following the insurgency, a transitional government was set up in Burkina with the main mission of organizing credible presidential and legislative elections before the end of November 2015. The main issue of these general elections is the restoration of citizens trust. and citizens vis-à-vis the rulers. Switzerland wants to contribute by supporting the coordinated actions of the NGOs Diakonia and National Democratic Institute (NDI) and by contributing to the UNDP-coordinated common basket over a period of three years (2015-2018).
Contribute to the consolidation of democracy in Burkina with legitimate elected representatives with at least 30% women. |
